40 Cans for 40 Days, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. All canned goods will be given to the Holy Rosary Food Pantry in Gate City. Last year we collected over 1,000 pounds of canned goods! Please drop off your cans in either foyer; and thank you for your generosity and support.

March 9 - 10 (3pm-3pm): 24 Hour Pro-Life Rosary, praying for an end to abortion and the triumph of the culture of life! Sign-up sheet in the front foyer. Come spend a half an hour with Jesus.

March 18, Sunday: Altar of St. Joseph in the Parish Life Center. There will be a Rosary at 12 pm with the "Mysteries of St. Joseph" followed by prayers for your intentions and blessing of the food. Lunch will begin at 1 pm. In keeping with this very old Sicilian tradition, we ask that you bring a meatless dish, salad, and/or dessert. Sign up sheet in the foyer. March 22, Thursday, (6:30 pm): Altar Server Training. Current and New Altar Servers. Meet in the church.

March 17/18 and 24/25, (at weekend Masses): The Ladies Auxiliary is offering chances to win one of several Easter Baskets. Drawing on March 25. Proceeds to benefit the Scholarship Fund and summer youth programs.

March 24, Saturday (8:00 am - 4:30 pm): "New Life in the Spirit" One day seminar presented by the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the Birmingham Diocese. Learn about God's loving plan for your life and encounter His gifts for you. No fee and all are welcomed. CHILD CARE IS AVAILABLE. Lunch will be provided. Pre-register by March 19. Bring a Bible and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation prior to the day of the seminar. See bulletin for further details.

April 10 - 12 (6:30-8:30pm), Evangelization Workshop, "Becoming a Missionary Disciple" with Mr. Alex Kubic of the Diocese of Birmingham.

Youth Protection 1 is mandated for any adult who “works with minors on a regular basis or has a reasonable chance of being alone with a minor.” The seminar schedule is updated on a regular basis (click here for the Diocese web site and click on "Child and Youth Protection Information).  Please note that advanced sign-up for each workshop is a must. Text Updates - Ocassionally we send announcements or reminders of events happening at our Parish. If you would like to be sent these announcements to your smart phone, simply text "ADD" to 84576. You will only receive announcements for those events that are relevant to you. For instance, if there is an upcoming Youth Meeting, and you are not a youth or parent of a youth, you will not receive the announcement.

Sundays - RCIA / Adult Formation - 9:00 am in the Parish Life Center. The text for this year's class is "Catholicism for Dummies" by Rev. John Trigilio. You may purchase a copy at a bookstore; or at the first meeting for $15.00. Fr. Bean is the instructor. Everyone is welcome!

Mondays - Maria Goretti Prayer Group - 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the home of Eileen Vacheresse (check the bulletin for address). All girls ages 13 to 20 are welcomed to visit, pray the Rosary, and discuss the difficult issues facing girls today: dating, purity, temptations, Catholic identity, etc.

Tuesdays - Legion of Mary - following the 9:00 am Daily Mass in the Parish Hall Meeting Room. We are pleased to annonce that we are now an official Praesidium (permanent members) at St. Theresa. The "Terror of Demons Praesidium" are called to serve our fellow Parishioners. with Fr. Bean as our Spiritual Leader. If you feel you are being called to serve, then the Legion of Mary is the perfect group for you. - 10:00 am - 11:30 am - Lecture Series with Fr. Bean in the Parish Hall.

- 6:00 pm - Holy Hour of Ecuharistic Adoration

Fridays - Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration - following the 9 am Mass

Fridays (except during Lent) - 1st and 3rd only - BINGO! - Purchase cards at 5:30 pm, Games start at 6:00 pm in the Parish Hall, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. SIX GAMES will be played. Snacks and refreshments for sale. No alcohol permitted. Must be 18 or older to play per city ordinance. Proceeds to benefit the Parish Life Center building fund.

Catholic Citizenship:

Palms - If you have blessed palms from past years, you may bring them to church for us to dispose of.  You may also dispose of them in a natural way - - such as burning or cutting into small pieces and burying in your garden.  For those who would like to fold their new palms into a cross - click here.
